📰 News we're reading

• Muskego PD warn of citations if pranks causing damage continue (gmtoday.com) — Muskego police are warning students and parents that property-damaging pranks like egging, flour dumping, and fuel spills can now bring $500-plus citations and restitution. After a rash of incidents around specific Muskego neighborhoods and Inpro Field, officers say they're treating serious cases as criminal damage to property, even as some homeowners have so far declined enforcement.

• Stangel's FG leads Raccoons past Warriors (gmtoday.com) — Muskego football fans saw a heartbreaker as the Warriors missed a late field goal at home, falling 19-16 to Oconomowoc in a clash of top-ranked Classic 8 teams. Despite standout rushing performances and big defensive plays from Muskego, a last-second Raccoons field goal sealed the upset. The roundup also highlights strong tennis showings by nearby Waukesha and New Berlin programs.

• Local communities contemplate future Flock usage (gmtoday.com) — Muskego officials are weighing whether to keep using Flock license plate cameras as neighboring cities like Waukesha and Oconomowoc move to end their contracts and a lawsuit challenges warrantless database searches. A local group, NoCams Muskego, is among the plaintiffs, arguing residents' privacy and Fourth Amendment rights are at risk. City leaders say the system's future will be debated in upcoming budget talks.
