Big Bend Man Charged for Stealing Gas from Muskego Gas Station
Suspect filled up his girlfriend's car twice with stolen gas.

A 25-year-old Big Bend man is facing theft charges after he filled up his girlfriend’s car on two separate occasions at a Muskego gas station and then left without paying.
Tyler A. Woppert was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with two counts of misdemeanor theft. If convicted, he faces up to 18 months in prison and $20,000 in fines.

Woppert drove his girlfriend’s Ford Taurus to Sept. 5 and Sept. 12, pulled up to a pump, filled up with gas and then left. On each occasion he filled up the car with $61 in gas.
Police were able to track down the car to his girlfriend who told them her boyfriend did it because they couldn’t afford to pay for gas. She said she was also in the car during one of the thefts.

Woppert is free on $50 cash bond while awaiting trial.
