Boating Classes Offered by DNR this Spring

Being a safe boater means a great summer.

Safe boaters means a fun summer on the Muskego lakes for everyone. To be sure residents and visitors have a great time this year, the Muskego olice is partnering once again with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for Boater Safety Classes.

Scheduled for April 4-7, 2011, and June 15-18, 2011, boat operators age 22 and under (persons born after 1988) are required to take this class to legally operate a boat or personal water craft.

"This is a great class for anyone who spends any time at all on or near the water," said Lieutenant David Constantineau of the Muskego Police Department in his Neighborhood Watch newsletter. "Four out of five people who die in boating accidents in Wisconsin have never taken a formal class.  Here is your chance."
