Matty's Bar & Grille Hosts Monday Night Ladies League (MNL2) Event - A Night to Celebrate Women in Baseball

You might think a Ladies League at a Sports Bar is an interesting concept, but Matty's Bar & Grille Owner, Matt Anderson, had a vision more than a year ago to create a League just for Ladies on Monday evenings.  He wanted to dedicate a night to give busy, multi-tasking ladies an opportunity to relax with their girlfriends, sisters, neighbors and co-workers.  

Matt envisioned creating the exact opposite of the stereotypical "free cocktails for ladies" events that many bars offer.  MNL2 was created to support the following philosophies - 

• Social Networking.  Our Ladies desire an opportunity to hang out with friends, co-workers, neighbors AND meet other Ladies too! 
• Education.  Whether learning a new culinary creation, mixology lesson, wine tips, personal finance or organization skills - our Ladies have a desire to learn new things! 
• Wellness.  Our very busy Ladies often find their own well being at the bottom of the long list of things and people they care for... Time for some pampering and healthy habits to be shared! 
• Philanthropy.  What Lucky Ladies!  Let's share with those in our community who aren't so lucky and support organizations we believe in. 

At Matty's every Monday is Ladies Night, featuring a special Tapas Menu and wine specials only available to ladies.  In addition, we've got a game bucket in case you feel like unwinding with a card or dice game for a couple hours and you never know what our Mixologists behind the bar might surprise you with - a sample of a new wine offering, a new tap craft beer to try or even a taste of a cocktail (Bubble Splash anyone?).  

We also host special MNL2 Event Nights.  We kicked things off in November 2012 with our "Let's Give Thanks" event featuring catering samples and menu planning tips from Matty's Catering Team, holiday floral and decorating ideas from Leaves Floral and of course samples and recipe cards to take home for our Pumpkin Pie and Turkey Day Tini cocktails.

Since then we've hosted events including "New Year, New Ladies" and "Go Red for Women" supporting wellness and heart health, we've Educated our Ladies with "Savvy Savings" focusing on personal finance & tips for re-designing your home on a budget, and hosted a Zumba class, shopping and spa nights and have a wine guru at each event for samplings.  These events are complimentary for our MNL2 Members and we've supported the The New Berlin Food Pantry, The Waukesha Women's Center and The American Heart Association as part of our philanthropic mission.

We invite you to join us this coming Monday, April 15th from 6-8pm for "A Night to Celebrate Women in Baseball" featuring Joyce Hill Westerman, one of the orginal players of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League which the movie "A League of Their Own" was based on.  We've got ballpark inspired snacks and a craft beer tasting station for you to enjoy.
