A small restaurant opened in Muskego. It's called Delish, An American Grille. I figured why not try it. I ordered a hamburger plain, which is the best way, I think, to guage the flavor of the meat. The meat actually consists of a blend of sirloin, brisket and chuck ground meat. I could see when I ordered, that the meat was fresh and not frozen patties from a box like at most places. The meat had a wonderful charbroiled steak flavor and was very juicy, not dry. The bun was soft and fresh. The only thing that would make this perfect would be to have fresh cut french fries. The potato they do have is called Taytees, which is similar to a tater tot, but are shaped like flat discs. There were good, I coukld actually taste the potato they were made from instead of the oil like a certain fast food place that serves tots. The lovely Lori had a grilled Chicken sandwich with lettuce and a side salad. She said it was good, not a dry piece of meat either. The veggies in the side salad were fresh. Lettuce, carrots, cucumber with ranch dressing. The place is a kind of "build your own sammitch" kind of place, main sandwiches being ground beef, ground turkey, chicken breast, cod filet, hot dogs and a garden burger for those who like vegetarian awesomeness. Sides are the Taytees, Haystack Onions, Fresh Cole Slaw, Cucumber salad or the Side salad. There is even the Beast, which consists of two steak burger patties and a hot dog topped with chili, haystack onion strings on a bun.. If you eat it all in 20 minutes, you get your picture on the wall of fame. This is a must do again kind of place. The food is good and the interior is brightly decored with pictures of scenes from Dandilion Park and some Drive Inn icons like Bob's Big Boy with hotrods in the parking lot. Seating consists of booths and small tables and chairs. The chairs were aluminum ones like the type you see on board Navy ships. Nice looking and they have taller versions as well. way better than the plastic lawn chairs I see elsewhere. I recommend this place as a great change from hamburger blandness.
