Burn Ban Lifted Here, But Watch Where You Camp
You can feel free to light up the backyard firepit, but if you're camping, it may be smart to check to see if you are still in a restricted area.

City of Muskego officials say it's now OK to burn, but if you're taking the family on a weekend camping trip, there may still be restrictions depending on your destination.
Emphasizing that the drought is not over, state fire control officials at the Department of Natural Resources will lift emergency burning restrictions effective at 12:01 a.m. Saturday July 28 in all or those parts of Dane, Crawford, Grant, Iowa, Richland and Sauk counties that are within Department of Natural Resources protection areas.
The DNR outlined the areas on and off the restricted list in a recent release.
