Changing of the (Student Council) Guard on the School Board

Nick Tretow completes his term as student council representative on Muskego-Norway School Board, and welcomes MHS junior aboard for the next term.

Nick Tretow is a junior in high school, but already has more public service experience than most people may ever have.

Joe Schroeder, MNSD Superintendent, joked that Nick was the first student council rep they have had to come to every meeting dressed up and in a tie.  However all kidding aside, the experience is one that the MHS student says he will take with him as he looks to the next school year as a senior and future college student.

"I really enjoyed the experience," Tretow said. "I certainly took from this experience a sense of how business is conducted."

Tretow said he will continue to serve on student council next year as vice president, and he is looking at UW-Madison for college after that, with his interest in becoming a doctor, perhaps specializing in pediatrics.

Coming in his place is Allison Gage, who will be a senior next year. She serves on student council's executive board and is a historian with the organization. Her term on the school board will begin in September.
