On February 24 at 10 p.m., two police officers, one from New Berlin, one from Muskego and K-9 officer Condor were tracking a suspect through a tree line near the homes on Hidden Creek Court.

As their search led them to properties on Durham Court, a man later identified as Joshua Pizur became upset at the investigating officers, reportedly saying, "I know you are doing your job, but could you at least make contact at my house before coming to my property," Pizur's criminal complaint said.

As Pizur walked toward the officer, he was advised that they were looking for a suspect in his area in an active investigation. Officers reported that Pizur became upset and was ordered back into his home or he would be arrested for obstructing an officer, the complaint said.

As he walked back to his house, police reported that he said, "I'm not responsible if my dog bites you when I let him out of the house."

Police advised Pizur to keep his dog inside and told him that if his dog came at an officer in an attacking manner, it could possibly be shot, the complaint said.

At one point in the verbal exchange, police say Pizur said, "If I see you or any other officers back on my property, I will get a gun and shoot you," the complaint said.
