CITY MALL: An Estate Sale Men Only Dream Of
Local firm caps 34-year Muskego history with an industrial estate and rummage sale this weekend, May 7th and 8th, 2011.
(We apologize for any confusion, as the article when first posted listed April for the rummage sale. Obviously this was an error.)
A shiny, blaze-orange Kubota tractor is up for sale at Instrumatics this weekend as the industrial sales and service company prepares to move from Muskego’s Business Park north to Waukesha or Brookfield.
The tractor, a top-of-the-line machine for plowing snow and cutting grass, is priced at $14,000, or $5,000 less than business paid for it brand new just 2 years ago.

Owner Scott Heun says anyone who deals with tools – a working garage or backyard mechanics – will find lots to interest them at the sale. He points to a pallet truck with a 2-ton capacity and an 11 foot lift for $150. Heun also thinks businesses will be interested in metal palette racking, a radial arm saw, electric welder, toolboxes, snowblower, and other useful items at the sale.
In the parking lot outside, a 1996 Dutchmen mobile home bought new but never used - and always stored indoors - waits for a new family to claim it. “We realize it’s a big chunk of iron to pull down the road,” Heun said, “so we’re asking $4,200 or best offer for it.”

Instrumatics is moving following the death of Heun’s father-in-law, Arthur Kreuger, some years ago. Krueger moved to Muskego from Waterford when he built the building in 1977, and the building has recently been sold.
The new owner, CAM Technologies, specializes in electrical discharge machining, according to owner George Kreuser. This type of machining uses a thin wire to cut anything conductive that can be programmed on computers. CAM’s biggest customers are in the highly specialized medical field, Kreuser said.
