The will again be picking up leaves starting the fourth week of October, according to a notice on the city website. The pickup will begin on the north side of the city, working to the south side.
Public Works personnel will be making several passes to accommodate residents who may miss the first pickup. Leaves should be placed on the edge of the blacktop road, not in the ditch, or in the gutter, if there is curb and gutter. Leaves should not be bagged.
Public Works personnel will be making one more pass thru the city the week of November 28 to make pickups. Return trips for leaf pickup will not be made after the final pass thru is made.
The city encourages residents to rake their leaves to the roadside as soon as possible, since an early snowfall could disrupt the leaf collection program completely.
