Crime Corner: Accidents Keep Police Busy
Monday accidents send two people to the hospital, but both are expected to be okay.

Theblotter this week is punctuated by two accidents that occurred almost simultaneously, but the outcomes could have been far worse.
Friday, September 16 – A 55 year old Burlington man was arrested for his second drunk driving offense, as well as operating after revocation and failure to install an ignition interlock device, after being stopped by an officer around 8:20pm.
Saturday, September 17 – A 73 year old Muskego woman was cited for Hit & Run after she struck a parked vehicle at Pick N Save and left the area.

Sunday, September 18 –
- A 23 year old Muskego man was arrested for theft after taking two cell phones from his ex-girlfriend.
- A 35 year old Muskego man reported being in an altercation with a 41 year old Muskego man the night before while in the Brickhouse Tavern. Investigation found that the complainant was the person who instigated the confrontation. There were no injuries, and no charges were filed.
Monday, September 19 –

- A 31 year old Illinois woman was seriously injured when the minivan she was driving turned into the path of a dump truck hauling gravel on STH 36 at Muskego Dam Rd. Her 6 month old child was properly restrained in a child safety seat, and escaped injury.
- A sixteen year old Muskego boy was injured after suffering a medical problem while driving. He left the road on McShane Dr. and his vehicle glanced off a pole before coming to rest in a field. He is expected to be okay.
Tuesday, September 20 –
- Change was stolen from a vehicle parked in the S7600 block of Gregory Dr. A second vehicle parked in a garage in the W16800 block of Gregory Dr. was also entered, with an iPod and change being stolen.
- A 25 year old Muskego man was arrested for eluding an officer and operating after suspension, after he fled from an officer who recognized him operating a moped. The man was arrested when he showed up in court for another case on September 23rd.
Wednesday, September 21 –
- Tri-Town Heating reported the theft of copper from the business.
- A cellular 911 call reporting a reckless driver using drugs resulted in a 50 year old Muskego man being arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after he was contacted at his residence.
Thursday, September 22 –
- The stop sign on the corner of Tess Corners Dr. and College Ave. was stolen. It was recovered in the back yard of a residence in the S6300 block of Tess Corners Dr.
- A 17 year old Muskego man is suspected in two separate thefts of gas, totaling $123.00, from Jetz Gas Station on Moorland Rd. at Janesville Rd. The investigation is ongoing.
- The driver of a silver Trailblazer, license plate #219SAJ, stole $50.00 in gas from Kwik Trip at Janesville Rd. and Racine Ave. The plates were stolen in New Berlin, and the vehicle was involved in two other gas thefts from Kwik Trip on July 7 and July 14.
- Jewelry was stolen from a residence in the W16100 block of Bay Lane Place. A suspect was identified.
