Crime Corner: Cell 9-1-1 Call Helps Nab Drunk Driver

Reports coming in from cellular 9-1-1 calls lead to the arrest of a drunk driver and lead police to investigate a possible fire.

The upgraded cellular 9-1-1 service in Muskego presents itself a couple of incidents this week.  The neighborhood watch report from Lt. David Constantineau also features the following:

Friday, April 15 – A reckless driver was reported by a cell call,  resulting in a 51 year old Waterford man being arrested for drunk driving in the S8000 block of Racine Ave.

Saturday, April 16 – Officers responded to the report of a fight at Mug-Z’s Pub & Grill on Hillendale Dr.  The subjects were no longer on scene when police arrived, however they were identified; an investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, April 17

A cellular 911 call was received reporting a fire in an outbuilding near an abandoned residence in the W21500 block of Janesville Rd.  An investigation is continuing.

A white Ford Ranger was damaged while parked at a residence in the S10400 block of Victoria Dr.

Police responded to a burglary to a residence in the S8300 block of Holz Dr.

A 17 year old Wind Lake girl was charged with hit & run after she struck another vehicle with her car in the parking lot of Preferred Fitness and fled the scene.

Wednesday, April 20 – A 66 year old Muskego man died after having a medical emergency while driving in the S6300 block of Gold Dr.  His car struck a guard rail, and he collapsed in the yard of a neighboring residence.  His death was due to natural causes.  No other vehicles were involved, and no other persons were injured.
