Be advised. The Muskego Police Department does not, and will not, solicit residents for funds door-to-door.
A homeowner in the S8200 block of Clearbrook Drive reported Thursday, Oct. 13, that an adult male and two children were going door-to-door claiming to be soliciting for the Muskego Police Department, according to the police report. However, the police do not solicit.
The city is not in that bad of shape, the report humorously notes.

Man arrested for drinking, drugs and a concealed weapon after hours in county park

Officers stopped a vehicle leaving Muskego County Park at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8. The 18-year-old Muskego man driving the vehicle was arrested for a violation of absolute sobriety, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Burglary: A residence in the W20000 Block of Kelsey Drive was burglarized between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10.
Stolen jewelry: Thursday, Oct. 13, a resident in the S7500 block of Freedom Avenue reported jewelry stolen from the residence sometime in the past two weeks.
Friend fight: Officers responded to a “fight” among “friends” at JD’s Tavern on Hillendale Drive Saturday, Oct. 8. The subject who instigated the incident fled prior to officers’ arrival and no charges were filed.
Garbage graffiti: A dumpster in Manchester Park had graffiti painted on it Monday, Oct. 10.
Theft: Copper wire was stolen from a business in the S7300 block of Crowbar Drive Monday, Oct. 10.
Charred grill: A barbeque grill at a residence in the S7200 block of Meadow Drive caught fire Wednesday, Oct. 12. The homeowner was able to put the fire out prior to officers’ and firefighters’ arrival. There was no damage to the residence.
In incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
