Crime Corner: Police Arrest Muskego Man for Multiple Thefts

Police note vehicle break ins, and find the suspect still wandering in the same neighborhood.

Thefts from cars, homes and incidences of OWI and minor accidents make up this week's neighborhood crime report from Muskego Police.

Sunday, May 29

Officers arrested an 18-year-old Muskego man walking in the Lake Meadows Subdivision in the early morning hours for theft of several cars that had apparently been entered.  He had been stopped for questioning and eventually confessed to rifling through several cars in the area.

A Weber grill was taken from a homeowner in the S6400 block of Preston Dr. 

Muskego’s Papa Murphy’s reported receiving a phone call from a person claiming to be from their corporate offices telling them to give a “customer” who had been the victim of a theft, money from the cash register.  The employees recognized the call as a scam and called police.

Monday, May 30

A 17 year old Illinois female was charged with driving without a driver’s license in a hit and run accident in the area of College Avenue and Shagbark Lane.

A 22 year old woman had a party at her parent's residence in the S11000 block of Racine Avenue while they were on vacation, after which she reported several items were missing from the residence.  Several suspects were identified, and officers are investigating.

A 51 year old Muskego man was arrested for the second time for drunk driving after putting his car in the ditch in the W20200 block of Sunnyhill Drive.

Tuesday, May 31 – A car trailer, along with two vehicle hoists, were stolen from a residence in the W20300 block of Janesville Rd.  The hoists were located and recovered at a Milwaukee area scrap yard on June 2nd, and officers are investigating.

Wednesday, June 1 – A motorcycle in the parking lot of Hunter’s Nest was struck by a hit and run vehicle.

Thursday, June 2 – A 16 year old Muskego boy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries after being involved in a one car accident at the intersection of Racine Ave. and Gemini Dr. around 2:40pm.

Friday, June 3 – A 46 year old Greenfield man was charged with 2nd offense drunk driving and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after being stopped on US 45 at Oakwood Dr.
