Crime Corner: Theft & Vandalism Incidents Suggest It's Time to Go Back to School

Pranks and vandalism indicate some have just too much time on their hands.

The reports from the neighborhood watch have been dominated by incidents of vandalism, perhaps boredom...is it time to head back to school? In addition 

Saturday, August 20 – Mailboxes in the S6600 block of Jewel Crest Dr. and the W18800 block of Gold Dr. were damaged.

  • Several mailboxes and vehicles in the Champion’s Village subdivision were damaged overnight.
  • A report of two suspicious subjects driving around the Fountainwood subdivision in a black truck around 2:00pm resulted in a 30 year old Milwaukee man being arrested for driving without a license.
  • Someone attempted to enter a vehicle parked in the S10300 block of Victoria Dr.

Tuesday, August 23 – A 22 year old Muskego man was taken into custody after breaking his neighbor’s window in the W18900 block of Tans Dr. and threatening him.  The man resisted arrest and was subdued after the deployment of an Electronic Control Device (Taser).

  • Two penguin lawn ornaments were stolen from a yard in the S9600 block of Groveway Lane.
  • Tires on a tractor were slashed while it sat in a shed in the S6400 block of Brookside Dr. while the owners were on vacation.

Thursday, August 25

  • Neighbors in the area of Orchard Ct and Clearbrook Dr. reported females screaming and running through the neighborhood, while car windows in the area were being soaped.
  • An 18 year old West Allis man was arrested for Hit and Run after an accident in the area of Janesville Rd. and Kristin Dr.
  • Residents in the W19700 block of Black Walnut Ct. reported kids “ding dong ditching”.

Friday, August 26 – Someone took a yard sign advising people to slow down, from a lawn in the S7400 block of Hillendale Dr.

Monday, August 29

  • Golf clubs were stolen from an unlocked auto in the W17500 block of Scenic Dr.
  • Muskego Lakes Country Club reported minor damage to several greens.
  • Paint was poured on a driveway in the W18900 block of Tans. Dr.
  • Two residents in the W16700 block of Spinnaker Way, and one resident in the S7800 block of Baylane Dr. reported thefts from unlocked vehicles.

Wednesday, August 31

  • Around 1:45am, four males in a silver Chevy 4 door took a street sign from the W14000 block of Dartmouth Cir. warning of a handicapped child.
  • Items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the W16800 block of Gregory Dr.
  • A 23 year old Muskego woman was arrested for stealing from Pick N Save while working there.
  • Someone cut a screen on a residence in the W13900 block of Bluhm Dr. while the homeowner was gone for the day.
  • Unlocked vehicles in the W18300 of Jean Dr, W18500 Block of Sue Marie Lane, and the S8600 block of Douglas Dr. were entered and items taken.
  • A resident in the S6700 block of Adrian Dr. reported their door bell was rung and when they checked they found their car door open.
  • Ding dong ditching in the S6300 block of Glenbrook Dr.
