Crime Corner: Warming Weather Sees a Pick Up in Police Calls

Weekly blotter includes theft, drunk driving

This past week's report includes several cases of theft, as well as various arrests for drunk driving.  

March 4 -

A 46-year-old man from Waukesha will be charged for stealing numerous DVDs from Kohl's Department Store.  He is also a suspect in thefts at Kohl's stores in Waukesha and Delafield.

March 5 -

A 28-year-old Franklin man was arrested and charged with his 5th drunk driving offense when he drove his car into a ditch near the intersection of Tess Corners Drive and Janesville Road.  He was also driving with a revoked license, and had drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession at the time.

A Muskego man, 22, was cited for hitting a mailbox in the W14700 block of Cornell Circle.

A homeowner called police when he found a wallet in his mailbox.  The woman's wallet is being held at MPD to be claimed by its rightful owner.

March 7 -

As reported previously, a patron at the Kwik Trip on Racine Avenue and Janesville Road observed a man take a charitable donation jar from the counter.  The police report identifies the suspect as a white male in his late 20's from Elm Grove.  The investigation is still ongoing.

March 8 - 

A 34-year-old Muskego man was arrested for his second drunk driving offense after he struck a mailbox with his truck in the S7500 block of Durham Drive.

A woman from West Allis was arrested for stealing several bottles of alcohol from the Muskego Pick n Save.  The woman, 46, was accompanied by another man, 57, who was also arrested as a party to the theft.  Both have confessed to numerous thefts throughout the area involving multiple police department investigations.
