The World Martial Arts Academy, with locations in Muskego and New Berlin, has used the Break-A-Thon fundraisers over the years to raise money for many worthy causes, including cancer research at Children's Hospital. This year, the cause is the Brain Injury Rehab Unit at Froedtert Hospital, on behalf of the Greg Phelps family. Greg Phelps, of the Village of Pewaukee, was severely injured in November 2010 when he was hit by a car while he was jogging. In the Break-A-Thon, students take pledges for boards that they will break.
