Felony Charges Follow Man After Heroin Overdose
Suspect overdoses inside a Muskego home and is now charged with drug possession.

In an all-too-familiar scenario, a 19-year-old Muskego man is facing felony charges after he allegedly overdosed on heroin inside an area home.
Nicholas M. Diels was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, he faces up to 27 months in prison and $10,500 in fines.
Muskego Police have been battling against the abuse of the drug, pointing to the as leading addicts to heroin. The issue has also become a concern .

According to the criminal complaint:
On Jan. 21, Muskego police officers were called to a residence in the S7800 block of Mystic Drive after Diels overdosed in an upstairs bathroom in the home. When police arrived, they found Diels laying on the floor on his side and was given a Narcan pen to reverse the effect of the heroin.

Officers then searched the bathroom and found a baggie of heroin, syringe and metal spoon inside the bathroom, which were used to cook and consume the drugs.
Diels will make his initial appearance in court Aug. 20.
