Warriors face a tough homecoming matchup vs. Franklin on tap
As the co-leader in the Southeast Conference, the undefeated Muskego Warriors football team will look to keep pace with Kenosha Bradford when it hosts defending league champion Franklin in a Homecoming matchup 7 p.m. Friday at InPro Stadium.

Last week: The Warriors (5-0, 3-0 SEC) held off a late comeback by Racine Park for a 35-27 victory at Horlick Field in Racine, while Franklin (4-1, 2-1) handled visiting Racine Horlick, 41-21.

No. 8 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel state poll among all schools, No. 11 in the Associated Press large division state poll and No. 4 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel area poll. ... Franklin was ranked No. 9 in Division 2 in the WisSports.net state coaches poll and No. 6 in the Journal Sentinel area poll.
Recent history: The Warriors lost to Franklin 31-6 last season – their fifth consecutive defeat to the Sabers. Franklin has held Muskego under 10 points in three of the last five meetings. The Warriors last defeated the Sabers, 22-20, during the 2005 season.
FYI: In last week’s victory over Park, Roland Dunlap rushed for 145 yards and two TDs and Brady Simkowski rushed for 132 yards and three TDs. … Dunlap scored on runs of 19 and 71 yards and Simkowski scored on runs of 4, 5 and 38 yards. … Eric Pachowitz completed the first-half scoring by tossing a 2-point conversion pass to Jim Mock to give the Warriors a 28-14 halftime lead. … Muskego made it 35-14 midway through the fourth quarter before Park’s comeback fell short. … Jeff Glisch had an interception to lead the defense.
Quoteworthy: The Warriors are averaging 45.6 points and 326.8 yards rushing per game thanks in large part to the dirty work done up front by left end Sam Weier, left tackle Connor McIntosh, left guard Alex Wallner, center Jeff Bolster, right guard Collin Smith, right tackle Jeremy Kindl and right end Jim Mock.
“This line has a chance to be the best offensive line I ever coached in my 15 years as a head coach,” Muskego coach Ken Krause said about the all-senior group. “The rest of the regular season will determine it. They are very coachable and drive to be successful. They are a very special group.”
