High-scoring squad hosts Racine Horlick on Friday

After scoring a whopping 110 points in two non-conference games, the Muskego Warriors football team kicks off the Southeast Conference schedule against Racine Horlick 7 p.m. Friday at InPro Stadium.

Last week: The Warriors rolled to 55-7 victory over former SEC rival Burlington on the road, while Horlick (0-2) lost at West Allis Central, 34-10.

Rankings: Muskego was ranked No. 13 in Division 1 in the WisSports.net state coaches poll, tied for 21st in the Associated Press state poll (large division) and No. 6 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel area poll (www.jsonline.com/sports/preps/128652248.html).

Recent history: The Warriors won last year’s matchup with the Rebels, 58-20, after racking up 551 yards of total offense (441 rushing). Luke Przybylka rushed for a team-high 128 yards and Adam Schulz completed 4-of-6 passes for 110 yards with TD passes to Przybylka and Connor Anderson. Roland Dunlap and Jordan Gruettner also combined for 180 yards on the ground and five TDs.

FYI: Brady Simkowski led Muskego’s offensive onslaught in last week’s victory with 175 yards rushing and five TDs on 20 carries. He scored his team’s first four TDs as the Warriors held a comfortable 27-0 halftime lead. … Muskego scored its fifth TD 72 seconds into the second half on a 7-yard pass from Eric Pachowitz to Sam Weier. … Josh Breider and David Kucharski also had second-half TD runs. … The Warriors piled up 478 yards on the ground on 50 attempts (9.6 avg.). … Horlick lost to Burlington in its season opener, 21-13.
