The Muskego football team kicks off the season with a non-conference game against Port Washington 7 p.m. Friday at InPro Stadium.

They were also picked to finish second in the SEC behind Bradford. … Bolster, Dunlop, Gruettner, McIntosh Smith, Stark and Wallner all earned All-SEC mention last season. … Muskego returns its entire starting offensive line. … Gruettner, an All-State punter, is regarded as one of the best all-around players in the state. … The Warriors averaged 39.6 points in their seven victories last season (32.1 total).

Quoteworthy: “Our goal this year is to take it one game at a time,” coach Ken Krause said. “We have a tough non-conference schedule and play in maybe the best conference in the state. If we work hard every day at practice and have great leadership, we have a chance to have a very nice season.”
