Former Muskego Developer Loses Businesses in Caledonia

Property in Muskego cited in judgment issued against Sam Diamantopoulos

The former owner of the Muskego theatres located on the north side of the city, which he turned into the Gateway bar and restaurant facility before eventually closing the business, is facing a $3.9 million judgment.  (The property is now the '' teen club, under new ownership)

According to a report in the Racine Journal-Times, New Berlin developer Sam Diamantopoulos will lose Diamond Plaza Retail Center in Caledonia along with two other properties in a bank-initiated receivership.

Diamantopoulos' attorney James Gatzke also told the Journal Times that the receivership action by Harris Bank also involves a truck terminal in Greenfield and the now-closed Muskego Theater. Neither Diamond Plaza nor the truck terminal had cash-flow problems, but the theater ultimately poisoned the other two for Diamantopoulos.
