Free Electronics Recycling Offered in Mukwonago

Mukwonago event on September 10th will also feature Muskego Lt. Dave Constantineau and Waukesha Crime Stoppers

On Saturday, September 10, 2011, a Community Electronic Recycling Day will be held at Johnson Bank, 1000 Fox St. in Mukwonago, from 8am to 12pm.

Lt. Dave Constantineau of the will be on hand there as well as part of Waukesha County Crime Stoppers, and they will be accepting donations for the program, which "so far has distributed over $34,800 dollars in rewards just to school kids in the county who have done the right thing, including over $2,800 in Muskego alone," Constantineau said.  

You can bring your unwanted electronic items to that location and they will be safely recycled at no cost; taking similar items to recycling centers often incur a fee.

What they will accept: TVs, PCs, monitors, scanners, printers, fax machines, keyboards, mice, cell phones, calculators, radios, stereos, telephones, DVD/CD players and VCRs. 

Any personal data on the device is guaranteed to be safely and securely destroyed.

What NOT to bring: batteries, air conditioners, microwaves, dehumidifiers, large appliances, x-ray devices, smoke detectors, or light bulbs.
