Governor's Decision on Obamacare To Be Applauded
Governor Walker is to be commended for repealing the executive order creating the Office of Free Market Health Care and turning down the Early Innovator Grant funding from the federal government for the implementation of ObamaCare

I salute the Governor for taking this critical step in protecting our taxpayers and job creators from this unconstitutional law and in leading the nation on how states must respond to ObamaCare. The Governor’s announcement strategically positions Wisconsin to continue the fight against this unconstitutional law both legislatively and legally, in advance of the spring U.S. Supreme Court oral argument on ObamaCare.
The next critical step in the fight against ObamaCare is to enact legislation that I and several other legislators circulated for co-sponsorship to our colleagues yesterday, legislation that will further shield our state from the consequences of implementing ObamaCare. It is clear that ObamaCare will only lead to higher health care costs and poorer quality of care. Therefore, it is incumbent on us as legislators to act in the best interests of our constituents to protect not only their free-market choice, but their individual liberties as well.
I commend the Governor for his leadership on this matter. Once again, Wisconsin leads the way for the nation, fighting to protect quality of health care, taxpayers’ free-market choice and job creators’ private-market innovation and competition in the state.
