Local fans will get their first look at their semi-pro football team in over a month when the Muskego Hitmen (3-1) take on the Greendale Panthers (2-2) 7 p.m. Saturday at Muskego High School’s InPro Stadium.
It is the first home game for the Hitmen since they beat the Milwaukee Storm in the season opener on June 11.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Children 12-and-under are free.

After suffering a 24-10 loss against the powerhouse Madison Mustangs on June 25, the Hitmen bounced back with a 16-0 victory over Wauwatosa Spartans on July 9.
“We beat ourselves in that one,” Hitmen owner Nick Seliger said about the loss to the Mustangs. “We had nine nine penalties and six turnovers. It’s tough to win a game when you do that against a team that has won 40 in a row. We’ll end up seeing them in the playoffs, I’m sure.”

If you plan on checking out the Hitmen for the first time, here are five players to keep an eye on:
Trevor Hunt, LB – The MHS graduate is regarded as one of the top linebackers in the league. “The kid just flies around the field,” Seliger said. “He has a really good nose for the ball and he’s a pretty ferocious tackler, too. When he tackles someone, they know about it.”
Tyler Hunt, WR-P – Another MHS product, he is the only original player left from the first Hitmen squad in 2003. “We have more talent at the wide receiver position than we’ve ever had,” Seliger said. “We do a lot of rotating.”
Justin Kammler, QB – The first-year signal-caller has been a pleasant surprise after serving as the backup for the Spartans last year. “If I was going to compare him to anybody, he is the IFL’s version of Brett Favre,” Seliger said. “He has such a strong arm and he can get that ball just about anywhere.” Speedy Dominique Johnson has been his top target.
Jo Jo Moore, RB – Suffered a minor knee injury last week against the Spartans. “In my opinion, he’s the best running back in the league,” Seliger said.
Mike Raetz, DL – The team’s elder statesman turned 44 years old recently. “He keeps himself in great shape,” Seliger said. “The guy is a monster. He might have lost a little stamina from when he was younger, but he’s still a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line.”
