Husband was Also a Stabbing Victim in Past Weekend's Incident

New details reveal that husband and wife stabbed each other in Saturday night altercation

While charges are still pending and details are being withheld until charges are filed, Muskego Police were able to provide more information on the initial release regarding a woman who was stabbed last Saturday night.

According to Police Captain John Latour, both parties had stabbed each other in their home in the  S6500 block of Whittier Terrace.  A neighbor had called police when the woman had walked over to report the incident.

The woman had been transported to Froedtert Memorial Hospital and is still there awaiting physical therapy.  Latour said that the husband's wounds, which were inflicted by the woman, proved to be far worse, and as of late yesterday he was still in the Intensive Care Unit at Froedtert.

A brief stand-off with the suspect ensued, with him being taken into custody by 3 a.m. without incident.

Latour was also able to say that alcohol was likely a factor in the incident, and that the couple have had previous domestic calls to their residence.

At present the investigation is continuing with charges pending.  Charges were expected later this week, however because of the husband's condition, "until we can make sure he can be present physically to be charged and be present for a preliminary hearing, we cannot issue any charges yet," Latour said.

There has been no word from Froedtert on when either spouse will be released.
