"Jammin' on Janesville" Kicks Off Marketing Efforts
Unveiling of mascot will be featured at next Friday's media event.

Events for downtown Muskego's 'Jammin' on Janesville' will kick off with an unveiling of their mascot, Randy Roadbot, on Friday, May 6 at noon. Organizers will present the nine-foot tall mascot in front of the Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism offices at S74 W16894 Janesville Road to kick off their marketing and advertising efforts to promote the event.
Presently there are 25-30 businesses which have provided details on their individual events, and planners feel the addition of signage along Janesville Road, as well as broadcast and other print advertising efforts will spur additional involvement.
"We have a lot of enthusiastic and involved businesses who are also bringing on board others to combine efforts in providing a variety of entertainment, food, beverages and information for these events," said Don Reidy, Chamber of Commerce President.

"We were also pleased to learn that we have businesses that are beyond the construction corridor on Janesville that are organizing events on the east side of town at Lincoln Point, to extend the festival further," Reidy said.
The events will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the first Fridays during summer: June 3, July 1 and August 5. Janesville Road will remain open during the outdoor festival.

The barrel man mascot will be placed at either end of the construction route, near Racine Avenue and also near Moorland Road along Janesville. Additional information will be mailed out in mid to late May, and retailers along the route will also be given materials to hand out to customers enquiring about the first-time event.
