Man Accused of Stealing Truck Mirrors in Muskego, Brookfield, Milwaukee County

A Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was caught stealing side mirrors off of pickup trucks in Muskego and Brookfield in July.

Kenneth J. Dombrowski, 31, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of theft. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

At 1:23 p.m. July 28, a man was getting his haircut at Cost Cutters, when Dombrowski got out of a Mercedes Benz car and stole the side mirror off of the victim’s truck and drove away. A witness was sitting in the parking lot at the time and gave police the license plate for the car, which was traced back to Dombrowski.

While investigating further, police discovered the exact same theft had occurred that day at Brookfield Square Mall and police reports from Milwaukee County showed the same type of thefts occurred there in July as well.

Police tried to contact Dombrowski to discuss the thefts, but were unsuccessful. He will make his initial appearance in court June 4.
