On May 2010, a man living in the W13400 block of Fennimore Lane reported someone had carved “I love you Destiny” into the driver’s side of his vehicle. The victim suspected Yakich because he used to date the man’s girlfriend and had a child named Destiny with her.

Yakich denied the claims, saying he was in Waupaca at the time of the incident, however, police later discovered he was actually in Muskego at the time. Yakich told police he initially lied because he didn’t know what else to do, but admitted to carving the message into the victim’s vehicle because his daughter’s birthday was coming up and he thought the victim was abusing her.
