Muskego Graduates to Receive Rotary Scholarship

Area business organization will present awards to various high schools during Tuesday ceremony

The Whitnall Park Rotary club annually presents scholarships to the high schools in their service area including Muskego, and has named two Muskego High School students for this year's awards.

Jacob Berlyn, the school's salutatorian, and Zachary York will each receive a $1,000 scholarship on Tuesday, June 28 at the club's luncheon at Klemmer's Banquet Hall.  They are among eight students to receive annual scholarships, with Michelle Martinez and Emily of Greendale High School, Leah Baumbart of Martin Luther High School, Heather Dirk and Jeremy Golon of Whitnall High School, Lena Nguyen of Whitnall High School also being honored.

"It's no doubt these kids represent our motto of 'service above self,'" said James Thorsen, who chairs the scholarship program. "This is one of the best things we do as Rotarians, and we're proud of this year's recipients, who are all so deserving."
