Muskego Honors Graduates

Commencement recognizes 382 reasons to celebrate.

The class of 2011 was characterized as the brightest and most successful to date, with the traditional speeches of praise and challenge, and a little humor to lighten the mood.

Muskego High School's commencement ceremonies were held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., honoring 382 graduating seniors.  According to school board president Jim Schaeffer, who spoke briefly to the students and family assembled, the class had been awarded a total of $2.5 million in scholarships, which to his research reflected an $800,000 increase from past years.

In addition, Superintendent Joe Schroeder told the group ACT scores were again up, and a five-year trend in increasing math scores on the college aptitude tests.  MHS senior Zachary Hopp also was recognized for achieving a perfect score of 36 on the exam.
