Muskego Man Accused of Having a Crackpipe, Heroin Needle

A 24-year-old Muskego man is accused of having a crackpipe and heroin paraphernalia by his feet during a traffic stop in Mount Pleasant.

Erik W. Kopidlowski was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, he faces up to six months in jail and $500 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

At 3:07 p.m. Dec. 21, a Racine County sheriff’s deputy pulled over a car headed eastbound on Highway 20 from Oakes Road after he noticed the car had dark tint, a broken rear passenger side window and a “for sale” sign in the rear window. Kopidlowski was a passenger in the car and was covered in cigarette ash and had a bag of trash by his feet.

The deputy discovered Kopidlowski had an arrest warrant pending against him from the Franklin Police Department for a drug paraphernalia issue, but he denied knowing anything about it when asked. Officers searched the bag of trash and found a crackpipe, a syringe and a can used to cook heroin.

Kopidlowski admitted the pipe was his. He’s currently being held in Racine County Jail on $100 bond while awaiting trial.
