On May 31, Weston cashed a bogus paycheck at Walmart, 8700 N. Servite Drive, worth $660.85. The fake check was discovered as a Milwaukee police department official was investigating 26 different incidents where people had cashed fake paychecks valued between $500 and $800 at area Walmarts that were supposedly written by a company called Toki & Associates Inc.

Weston told investigators he got the check from his mother’s mailbox and she got the check from a woman named Lanisha, who would get $300 in proceeds once the check was cashed.
