Muskego Police Assistant Recognized for 25 Years of Service
Ann Wissing has seen a lot of things change over the years, but it's what she's loved about the job.

Ann Wissing, administrative assistant at the Muskego Police Department, was recognized Tuesday night for her 25 years of service to the community. However she was not present, and was a bit modest to talk about her service in a later interview.
Wissing started in the department as a clerk/dispatcher in 1986 on a part time basis, and said the job was incredibly challenging.
"I had no idea how tough it would be as a dispatcher - there is so much to the job," Wissing said. However she served in that position for 10 years, eventually being promoted to full time before taking the administrative assistant's job.

Wissing said along with the people she has had the opportunity to work with, she's enjoyed the opportunities the job has offered her.
"I've always had a great chance to grow from the time I started, and to advance," she said.

Wissing also earned a bachelor's degree 2007, an accomplishment she credited to the encouragement to learn she got from the department. At 63, she hopes that she can retire in a couple of years and in her words, "not have to receive a 30-year recognition."
