Muskego Polls Will Be Open February 21
A primary will be required in city race; however, school board race features no newcomers

The deadline for candidates to officially throw their hats in the ring has come and gone, and it appears some Muskego voters will be asked to come to the polls in February, as challengers in the 1st District race will require a primary. Polling stations will be open in this district only.
Aldermanic District 1 will have Tracy Snead, the incumbent, facing Randall Hojnacki and Robert Wolfe.
In summary, the Muskego ballot should appear as follows for Feb. 21:

In addition, the Waukesha County Supervisor's race for district 23 will feature businessman Keith Hammitt and Randall Hojnacki vying for the seat. Kert Harenda had filed candidacy papers, but did not submit the nomination papers before the 5 p.m. Jan. 3rd deadline to appear on the ballot for that race.
Dan Draeger had been appointed to the 23rd district after Kathy Chiaverotti resigned when she became Muskego Mayor. However, Draeger's residence fell victim to redistricting, which meant that he no longer lives in the 23rd district. Instead, he is running unopposed for the 24th District, as Pete Gundrum had not filed nomination papers in time to secure a spot on the ballot.
Two other races feature unopposed candidates, and will be decided in April along with the 24th Supervisory district.
April 3rd's ballot will appear as follows:
District 1 Alderman - top 2 vote getters from Feb. 21
District 3 Alderman - Neil Borgman (I), Larry Lefebvre
District 5 Alderman - Dan Soltysiak (I), John Engelhardt
Municipal Court Judge - Patrick Berigan
County Supervisor (23rd District) - Keith Hammitt, Randall Hojnacki
County Supervisor (24th District) - Dan Draeger
Muskego-Norway School Board - Mike Serdynski, Lisa Warwick, Eric Schroeder (all incumbents)
Upcoming information on any debates will be published as it's received.
