Police tried to pull the car over, but Frey kept driving for another tenth of a mile. When she did come to a stop, she didn’t pull over to the shoulder.

An officer approached the car on the passenger side, but Frey, who had extremely bloodshot eyes and a runny nose, was unable figure out how to open the window.

Another officer approached the driver’s side of the car and told Frey to put it in park, however, she didn’t comprehend the command, so the officer had to reach in and put the car in park for her.

When an officer went back to a squad to check out Frey’s ID, she put the car back in drive and began to drive away at 5 miles per hour, but eventually stopped after 300 yards.

Frey told officers she took an Ambien before driving and hadn’t been drinking. She also told police she was going to visit a friend in Milwaukee and she was currently driving on northbound I-43.

She failed a field sobriety test and a blood test showed she had morphine, Cyclobenzaprine and Zolpidemin in her system at the time. Officers found a prescription pill bottle for Oxycontin with Suboxone pills inside, a straw used to snort pills and a Zanax pill in her purse.

She will make her initial appearance in court April 17.
