Muskego Woman Charged With Fraud in Getting Paid Child Care
Woman is facing charges after she lied about her job in order to get benefits to pay for child care for her children.

A 30-year-old woman was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of failure to notify changes in public assistance. If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison and $25,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
The woman first began receiving child care assistance in 2008, first listing her employer as Buy Seasons and then later changing it to Solutions for Seniors. She then reapplied for the benefit in 2010, however, a fraud investigator contacted Solutions for Seniors and discovered she hadn’t worked there since 2009 even though she continued to list it as her employer.

The woman told investigators she was sorry for what she did and did it because her children loved the care center they were at and she would do anything for her children.
