Police Report Seatbelt Enforcement Results
"Click it or Ticket" program records fewer citations, but Muskego Police hope this is a good sign.

Lieutenant Andrew Kraus of the Muskego Police Department issued the final statistics for their annual Click It or Ticket mobilization from May 23 to June 5, which placed a renewed emphasis on seatbelt law enforcement.
"While intensifying their safety belt enforcement for Click It or Ticket, officers issued 35 tickets for failure to fasten seat belts," Kraus stated in a report.
Officers also issued citations and made arrests during traffic stops for the following:

- 12 speeding violations
- 15 operating after revocation or suspension violations
- 26 traffic sign or traffic light violations
- 5 drunken driving arrests
- 3 drug arrests
- 3 misdemeanor arrests
- 1 warrant arrest
Kraus also stated that "the number of safety belt citations is down from our mobilization last year. We hope that this is an indication that the use of safety restraints is increasing. The consistent use of a seatbelt is the best way to protect yourself in the event of a crash."
