Record breaking year for Ribbon Cuttings in Muskego

The Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce sets record for number of new business locations or rennovations.

Business is flourishing in Muskego! According to Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce Events & Marketing Coordinator Krisann Durnford, the past year and half has been record setting for Chamber Ribbon Cuttings. These ceremonies are offered as a member benefit to brand new businesses who join the Chamber or for existing members that relocate or have substantial renovation.

“Since the completion of Janesville Road, many business members moved or renovated their buildings. We also noted an increase in new Muskego businesses this past year,” she observed. In 2014, the Chamber held sixteen ribbon cuttings—thirteen for new locations or businesses. The trend continued in 2015—to date nine new locations or businesses and three remodels have taken advantage of this member benefit. In this fourth quarter, five more have or will be scheduled including: the new Forward Dental building; the relocation of BMS (formerly Bulk Mail Services); and, the grand opening of Costco. These occasions offered an exciting observation: Muskego business is diverse. From restaurants and clothing stores to industrial and construction companies, from health and dental choices to Muskego’s first and only Pickleball Court, the community is growing. With a business membership hovering around 325, the Muskego Chamber is proud to represent such a variety of career and business choices. In partnership with these business entities, the Chamber continues to offer excellent community events, making our lake community a destination for work, home, and play.
