Representative Craig Responds to Governor's State of the State Address
Wednesday night's address was a message to job creators in and out of state.

Representative David Craig (R-Town of Vernon) released the following statement in response to Governor Walker’s State of the State address tonight.
For over a year now, Governor Walker has told us where he wants to take the state fiscally. Both the Governor and the legislature have talked about balancing the state budget without raising taxes. Together, we fulfilled that promise.
Tonight, the Governor’s message to the legislature was also a message to job-creating businesses both inside and outside the state. This administration and this legislature are dedicated to ensuring that we have a vibrant and stable business climate in the state, with stability in our tax and regulatory codes. Such measures will have a positive impact on our short-term and long-term economic prosperity in Wisconsin.

Because of the Governor’s budget reforms, school districts now have strong accountability measures in place. I anxiously await the opportunity to work with the Governor and my colleagues in the legislature on the reforms to education that the Governor outlined tonight.
