Dams was pulled over Tuesday near South 108th Street and Forest Home Avenue after a police officer noticed her license plates were not properly registered. After talking to her, the office also noticed Dams had a revoked license and was placed under arrest.
The officer put Dams in the back of his squad and called for a tow truck to take the vehicle, so Dams then asked if she could get her purse from the car.

The officer went and grabbed it and then saw a device used for cooking heroin in plain sight inside the center console of the car. He then searched further and found a bag of the drug along with 15 methadone pills.
Dams told the officer she had a prescription for the methadone, but he then called a pharmacy and discovered it wasn’t true.
Dams is currently being held in jail while undergoing assessment for drug abuse and treatment.
