Shogren Found Guilty of Two Counts of First-Degree Reckless Injury
Muskego man who stabbed his wife and left her for dead pleads no contest on five counts as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.

Mark T. Shogren was found guilty Wednesday for stabbing his wife multiple times in March and leaving her for dead.
Shogren, 52, pled no contest Wednesday to five counts of first-degree reckless injury as part of a plea deal with the prosecutor’s office. He was found guilty on two counts while three counts have been dismissed.
Earlier in March 2011, Shogren stabbed his wife multiple times after she went to the kitchen to get a drink after they had been watching movies. The couple had been trading snide remarks about their own relationship in comparison to those in the films.

She eventually walked over to and got help from a neighbor after Shogren didn’t call for medical attention even though the victim suffered from a punctured diaphragm and collapsed lung in the incident.
Shogren then held a standoff with police after he refused to leave the house when they arrived.

He will be sentenced by Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Bill Domina on November 18.
