Shogren Makes Appearance on Other Abuse Charges

A Muskego man already facing charges for allegedly trying to kill his wife made his initial appearance in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday on another charge for allegedly harming his wife.

Mark T. Shogren is charged with one count of battery and one count of disorderly conduct after he allegedly pinned down his wife Gloria in a January incident, which happened about one month before he allegedly stabbed her while the two were watching movies.

Shogren was charged with the two misdemeanor charges Feb. and released on $150 cash bail.

On March 5, Shogren then allegedly stabbed his wife, which according to the criminal complaint, happened after a night of drinking and watching movies while making snide remarks about their relationship in comparison to those in the movies.

Although the complaint states the two hadn’t been fighting while watching the movies, after she got up to get a drink, Shogren stabbed her and then didn’t call for medical attention.

Gloria Shogren later showed up at a neighbor’s home who then called for police, which was then followed by a brief standoff situation with Mark Shogren.

Shogren is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $50,000 cash bond while awaiting trial in that case. His preliminary hearing is set for April 15.

Waukesha County Court Commissioner Martin Binn assigned another $1,000 cash bond to Shogren Wednesday for the two misdemeanor charges.

A Waukesha County court official will also hear a petition for a temporary restraining order against Shogren ay 8:30 am Friday.

According to Online court records, Shogren’s wife filed for divorce March 25.
