Soccer Guide: Warriors Clobber Defending Champions

Tied for first place in the Southeast Conference

The boys soccer team avenged its only Southeast Conference defeat last season and remained undefeated in league play with a convincing 4-0 victory over defending champion Kenosha Tremper on Thursday night in Kenosha.

Rankings: The Warriors were one of five teams to receive honorable mention in Division 1 in the latest Wisconsin Coaches Association state poll. They were also ranked No. 8 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel area poll .

FYI: In the victory over Tremper, the Warriors scored the only goal they would need in the 15th minute when Jared Pradarelli scored off an assist by Aleksi Prpa in the 15th minute. … Pradarelli scored his second goal midway through the second half. … Ryan Johnson-Evers was credited with a pair of assists. … Andrija Novakovich, Muskego’s scoring leader, made it 2-0 with a goal four minutes into the second half. … Tremper defeated the Warriors last season 3-0. … Muskego and Kenosha Bradford are tied for first place in the SEC at 3-0.

Up next: The Warriors will look to stay unbeaten in the SEC when they host Franklin 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13. They also play at Madison Memorial on Friday, Sept. 16 and host West Bend West on Saturday, Sept. 17 in a pair of non-conference matches.
