Statements Made by Annmarie Schulte Will Stand As Child Pornography Case Set For Trial

Circuit Court Judge Kathryn Foster ruled Thursday that the Miranda Rights of Annmarie Schulte, 37, were not violated by a Muskego detective when she was interviewed after a search warrant was executed at her home.

During a 90 minute court hearing Thursday, Muskego police Sgt. Ryan Fandre, who was a detective when Schulte was first arrested, testified he interviewed Schulte in his office at the police station after she came home to find police executing a search warrant at her home. He explained the scope of the search warrant and asked Schulte to come back to the station to be interviewed.

She was not placed under arrest at the time and she followed the detective back to the station. She was free to leave when the interview started, but Fandre also said he explained her rights even before she was arrested due to the gravity of the possible charges.

She was arrested after the interview and signed a written statement of her comments after the interview.

Foster set a tentative trial date Thursday of July 10. Attorneys are given until May 25 to file any more potential motions in the case.
