The Nanaboozho
Legends of the Ojibwe: What These Stories Tell us about Nature and Spirituality
Today

Tuesday, September 10 from 7:00 –
8:30pm at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, 1111 E. Brown Deer Rd., Milwaukee
WI 53217, www.sanc.org

Dennis Hawk will explore some of the ancient Ojibwe Stories showing their
application in today’s world of science and nature. Drawing on great Ojibwe
story-tellers such as Bazil Johnson and Edward Benton Banai, Dennis will take
us from these ancient stories to their present day relevance. The world view of
the ancients may have been narrow in comparison to ours today, but their knack
for finding “truth” in nature was not. This workshop will aid you in your quest
for understanding the spiritual through a relationship with the physical world
that surrounds us. Registration is required for this program, please call:
