There are Hidden Treasures in Muskego (Find out)

The Women’s Business Connections group (WBC), an arm of the Muskego Area Chamber of Commerce hosting “Walks in the Parks” program to bring awareness to all the green space Muskego has to offer with family fun activities.

Muskego, Wis. – June 30th, 2013 — Tina Weiss, Executive Director of the Muskego Chamber of Commerce (MACC), announces that the Women’s business Connections group is hosting another “Walk in the Parks” program this Sunday at the Engle Conservation Area S92W19656 Henneberry Dr.  Muskego, WI.   This “Walk in the Park” will introduce geocaching and a great way for families to have fun in our local parks.

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. Trinkets are taken from each geocache if one is left in its place, or others caches just ask for a date you found it. John Mooney, local Geocache enthusiast, will be introducing the art of geocache.   Engle Conservation Area boasts up to seven geocaches according to geocache.com.

“As a group with the WBC we put together the “Walks in the Parks” program to help our community realize how many parks Muskego has to offer and a great opportunity for families to get out and have fun in the parks over the summer and beyond”, said Beth Schmitt, one of the chairs of the WBC group.  The program was highlighted in the Muskego Parks and Rec guide along with a bingo card for residents to mark their progress on visiting the parks.  To download a bingo card and list of Walks in the Park events, go to http://www.muskego.org/pages/WalksintheParks/
