On Oct. 23, Dobson and Safford broke into his mother’s home in the S6600 block of Gold Drive while she was out of town. He first went to a neighbor’s home to get the garage code, but the neighbor was instructed to not give out the code to him, so Dobson went back to the house and kicked in a service door.
The two men then took various jewelry items from the home and sold some of them to get money so they could buy heroin.
