Veronica S. Schaefer (Nee Beres), "Ronnie" Veronica found peace on July 11, 2013, at the age of 79 years. Loving wife of 60 years to Alvin. Beloved mother of Edwin (Tina), Diana Plutschack, Robert (Laurie), Thomas, Raymond (Mary Jo), Maryann (David) VanZeeland, and Joann (Todd) King. Dear sister of John Beres(friend Carol), William (Marcia) Beres, and Agnes (Lloyd) Salentine. Dear sister-in-law of Lucille, Rita, and Patricia Beres. Preceded in death by her parents Nicholas and Margaret Beres, her in-laws George and Frances Schaefer, her brothers Leo (Loretta), Msgr. Francis, Harold, Nickolas, and George Beres, sisters Margaret (Joseph) Schaefer and Ann Beres and sister-in-law Patricia Beres. Caring grandmother of Rebecca, Elizabeth (Nicholas), MaryBeth, Kimberly, Steven, David (Kayla), Christine, Jennifer, Jessica, Julie, Joseph, Nickolas, Melinda, William, Margaret, Benjamin, Michael, Nathan, Sawyer, Troy, Mikayla, Matthew, Taylor, Christopher, Danielle (Keith), Kaitlyn, and Kyle. Great-grandmother to Kaleb and Delaney. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at HOLY APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH (16000 West National Avenue, New Berlin), from 3:00 PM until 6:45 PM, with a vigil service to follow at 7:00 PM, and on Monday, July 15, 2013, at church from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment at Holy Apostles Cemetery. Mom enjoyed volunteering in various organizations including St. Leonard Parish and the Muskego Health Council. She spent her time gardening, canning and cooking on the family farm in Muskego. She was employed many years with the Waukesha County Health Department and was a fifty year member of the Catholic Knights.
