Warrior Swim Seniors Make Waves
Sami Pochowski breaks record, with a possible Olympics at the finish, while Emma Szczupakiewicz stays a threat as reigning state champ.

Sami Pochowski, a senior at , is starting her year with a splash, according to an article on JS Online. Â
The publication's Preps Plus also called Pochowski as well as fellow Warrior Emma Szczupakiewicz (also a senior)Â 'swimmers to watch.' Szczupakiewicz is currently the state champion in the 100-yard back stroke.Â
Qualifying for the Olympic Trials in the prelims at the Junior Nationals meet in Division 1 at Stanford last week with a time of 1:11.60 in the 100-yard breast stroke, Pochowski took second with a time of 1:10.59 in the finals. She was competing with the Southwest Aquatic Team.

Last year, Pochowski broke a state record, with a 1:02.07 time in the same event.
She will compete for a spot on the 2012 Olympic team at the end of June, when trials for the Olympic Games in London are held in Omaha, NE.
